GLOBAL ROCKSTAR UNITED – A SONG UNITING CONTINENTS
Originally published on the Global Rockstar Magazine on 06.09.2015
In August 2015, we brought six music artists from six continents to a Viennese recording studio to co-write and produce a song on the theme: “Music has no borders.”
After having travelled a total of over 53,000 kilometers — Jhanniel, Katie Thompson, Christian Rabb, Syssi Managa, A Yeon and Murray Yates met up for the first time in Vienna, Austria, on August 14, 2015.
What they had in common was that each of them successfully participated in Global Rockstar 2014 – the world’s largest online music contest – and each had already achieved cross-national success as an independent artist.
During one intensive week of creativity and cultural exchange between these exceptionally talented musicians from across the globe, a very special message developed — to show that there are no borders when it comes to music and to share the universal message of love and respect.
Everybody involved lived this message from the bottom of their hearts and what emerged went way beyond all of our expectations. The session turned into one of the most impressive interpersonal and professional experiences for every participant and for us too.
Here you can read about the six artists, about their work together and listen to the result of the August 2015 Vienna session: To the Moon (NB: release date Sept. 16). It is the first of two songs that were co-written by these international artists – stay tuned for more!
Thank you Jhanniel, Katie, Christian, Syssi, A Yeon, Murray! We love you!
Peace&Love,
The Global Rockstar Team
